Child Protection (CP) -advocating for safe environment that empowers children to have autonomy over their own decisions, Providing the appropriate support system to protecting, preventing and safeguarding children/survivors from retrogressive cultural practices (early marriages, GBV), harm and abuse (offline & online).

Community-Based Protection (CBP)- HAI takes a community-based approach in all its work with the people with and for whom we work. We encourage meaningful communities’ engagements, consultations and community action-planning in all programmes that affect them, and ensures they play a leading role in change. HAI recognizes that, without the engagement of communities’, capacities, state and non-state actors in protection outcomes such as GBV prevention, risk mitigation, and response, and child protection, external intervention alone cannot achieve sustained improvement in their lives.

GBV Case Management practice (GCMP) and Psycho-Social Support (PSS)- HAI implements survivor centred approach to support GBV survivors through optimizing health care process, coordinates and integrates the support services that the survivor needs and provide psychosocial support post recovery period.

Prevention and response to Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Legal Aid- HAI seek to promote inclusion and strengthening all actors of GBV including Community Action Teams (CAT) in prevention and response to SGBV against pastoralists women/girls and through collaborations provision of legal aid to survivors of GBV to seek justice for survivors.
